Executive Biographies

Responsible for the leadership, vision and general management of ECNG, John has over 11 years of experience in the Canadian energy markets. John has held senior management roles leading many different functional groups including Accounting, Operations, Energy Supply, Business Reporting and I.T. In his current role, John oversees the entire company to ensure optimum service to our clients. Prior to joining ECNG in 2000, John studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Western Ontario.

A graduate of Seneca College and York University, Bill Snee joined ECNG in 1997. The 26 years prior, Mr. Snee worked in sales and marketing for Enbridge Consumers Gas. Throughout his 37 years in the industry, Bill has been a major contributor in the de-regulation of natural gas and its effects on the utilities involved. He has been leading the Client Services division at ECNG ENERGY since 2000.

Angelo P. Fantuz holds a Chemical Engineering degree and an M.B.A. from the University of Windsor, with 23 years of working experience in both technical and commercial sectors in the automotive and energy industries. Prior to joining ECNG ENERGY in 2003, Mr. Fantuz was employed by Union Gas Limited where he was responsible for securing and delivering natural gas to Ontario from all major supply basins in North America.

Mike Parkes has a Masters of Business Administration from McMaster University and has worked his entire career in the energy industry with experience as an aggregator of end-users, in a consulting/agency setting, as well as in a retail environment.
Mike has extensive experience in Client Management, Supply and Operational roles. He currently manages ECNG’s Operations group which is primarily responsible for all interaction with Local Distribution Companies and Municipal Electric Utilities, as well as all deal capture requirements.

Dave Duggan has a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University. With 15 years of experience in the energy industry, he is one of Canada’s leading authorities in the field of energy commodity purchasing and market fundamentals—specializing in both the Ontario and Alberta power markets, the Western Canadian natural gas market and the Eastern Canadian natural gas market. Dave and his team members provide objective procurement advice to some of Canada’s largest energy consumers.

Ashraf graduated from the American University in Cairo in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Business Administration. Ashraf worked in the field of database and applications development for several international companies before joining ECNG Energy in 2002. He is currently managing the Business Reporting department which is responsible for all process automation and information reporting.

A 1997 graduate from Mohawk College, Business Accounting Cooperative Education Program, Rosemary Laurenti received her Management Studies Certificate with Honours in April of 2002 and her Certified Bookkeeper Certification in April of 2006. She is currently pursuing her C.I.M designation. Rosemary joined ECNG ENERGY L.P. in 2002 as a Senior Accountant, and was promoted to a supervisory role in 2004, with her team being responsible for all accounting activities. In 2011, Rosemary was promoted to her current role in which her team is responsible for contract administration, flow of information throughout all departments, mitigation of risk and office services.
